FRIDAY, MARCH 6
• 2:02 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a van sitting on Norton Creek Road just off Highway 20 near Blodgett. The van, a Ford Econoline occupied by two Portland residents, drove off before a tow truck could arrive.
MONDAY, MARCH 9
• 3:17 a.m. — BCSO arrested a 59-year-old Corvallis man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended during a traffic stop on Highway 20. The deputy had recognized the driver as the same man who had been arrested by another deputy earlier that morning on the same charge. He was cited in lieu of custody.
TUESDAY, MARCH 10
• 7:48 p.m. — While responding to a welfare check at the entrance to Beazell Memorial Park, BCSO discovered what appeared to be a “cold burglary” attempt at a structure on the property.
WEDNESDAY, MARCH 11
• 4:48 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of a vehicle that went into a ditch at Airport Avenue and Peterson Road. According to an incident report, the vehicle went into the ditch as the driver, a 28-year-old Philomath man, was attempting to turn around. The driver was cited for driving on a suspended license and no car insurance. The vehicle was towed out of the ditch.
