TUESDAY, SEPT. 3

• 10:19 a.m. — BCSO took a report of identity theft from a Blodgett-area business owner involving someone who used an employee’s name and a false tax identification number to open a cellphone company account and charge approximately $15,000 in phones and services.

• 3:38 p.m. — BCSO responded to a call from a woman who reported that her vehicle had been hit by another vehicle in the Blodgett vicinity. After being identified and contacted, the driver, a 44-year-old Blodgett man, returned a message and said he didn’t know he had hit another vehicle. The man was cited on misdemeanor charges of failure to perform the duties of a driver.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 14

• 11:49 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 34-year-old Lincoln City man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended and a 41-year-old Lincoln City woman on a misdemeanor charge of possession of methamphetamine paraphernalia during a traffic stop on Main Street and 13th Street.

SATURDAY, SEPT. 21

• 9:18 a.m. — BCSO responded to a single-vehicle crash at Chapel Drive and Bellfountain Road with a 29-year-old Brownsville woman driving. The driver and two improperly seat-belted juveniles were transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis. The vehicle was towed from the scene. The driver was cited for driving while suspended, failure to obey a traffic control device and reckless endangering.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 22

• 12:19 a.m. — BCSO responded to Skirvin Park off South 13th Street to a report of a fight that had occurred that left a female injured. While assisting the Philomath Police Department, BCSO arrested a 54-year-old Corvallis woman for interfering with a peace officer and parole-probation officer when she attempted to prevent Philomath Police from detaining her son.

• 11:56 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 50-year-old Philomath man on a misdemeanor charge of third-degree criminal mischief with crime damage following an incident that involved deflating a tire on the vehicle of his son’s girlfriend at a West Hills Road location. The man was transported to Benton County Jail, cited and released with a no-contact agreement.

MONDAY, SEPT. 23

• 2:38 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of first-degree aggravated theft involving an 80-year-old Philomath woman who was scammed into depositing $24,200 into Bitcoin machines in Corvallis and Albany.
