WEDNESDAY, FEB. 4
• 12:25 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report from an Amazon delivery driver that a crash had occurred earlier in the day on Highway 20 between Hawk Hill Road and Lone Star Road. The driver, a 50-year-old Salem man, said he was stopped on Highway 20 waiting to make a turn when his vehicle was rear-ended by a box truck. The deputy on the call reported that he attempted multiple times to contact the other driver, a 40-year-old Philomath man, but had received no response. No injury was reported to the delivery driver.
TUESDAY, FEB. 10
• 5:16 p.m. — BCSO responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Grange Hall Road and Fern Road. The drivers, a 54-year-old Philomath man and a 26-year-old Corvallis woman, were reportedly not injured. The deputy assisted the drivers with meeting reporting requirements.
WEDNESDAY, FEB. 11
• 7:58 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 33-year-old Albany man on multiple warrants for failure to appear in court and failure to perform community service after making contact with a Jeep Wrangler in the parking lot of Campbell County Park along Highway 34. The man was transported to Linn County Jail.
THURSDAY, FEB. 12
• 9:45 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of identity theft involving a 47-year-old Alsea man. The victim on Feb. 10 received a phone call confirming the scheduled pickup of $5,000 in flooring materials in Garden City, New York. The man told the company that he never made any purchases for flooring and lived in Oregon. Approximately one hour later, he was contacted again by the flooring company stating that a man had arrived to pick up the flooring and when confronted by staff, fled on foot. Suspect information was collected and entered into evidence and case information was shared with the FBI field office in New York.
