MONDAY, FEB. 16

• 4:26 a.m. — BCSO arrested a 31-year-old Creswell man on misdemeanor charges of possession of methamphetamine and possession of fentanyl during a traffic stop for speeding on Highway 20 in an area west of the Kings Valley Highway intersection. The driver admitted that he had fentanyl in the vehicle and a consensual search yielded drug paraphernalia, fentanyl and methamphetamine. The man was issued a criminal citation in lieu of custody and also cited for driving uninsured. He was released at the scene after a field sobriety test.

TUESDAY, FEB. 17

• 7:31 a.m. — BCSO responded to a one-vehicle crash on Kings Valley Highway near Labare Road involving a Toyota Prius that had gone into a ditch and still had occupants in the car. The vehicle slid off the road in icy conditions, the deputy reported. No injuries were reported.

• 9:03 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 41-year-old Albany woman on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended during a traffic stop on Highway 20 and Mustang Lane. The deputy reported that he had observed the vehicle driving approximately 15 feet behind another vehicle at highway speed for more than a mile. The woman was issued a citation in lieu of custody along with a traffic citation for failure to use an ignition interlock device and a warning for following too closely.

WEDNESDAY, FEB. 18

• BCSO located a crashed Toyota Tacoma (time not reported) on West Hills Road just east of Bailey Street and contacted the registered owner, a 37-year-old Philomath man. The driver was walking home a short distance away and reported that he had lost control of the vehicle on an icy road. The man was reportedly not injured and the vehicle had no visible damage. The owner arranged for a tow truck.

FRIDAY, FEB. 20

• 10:57 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 28-year-old Corvallis woman on charges of post-prison supervision violation and on warrants for failure to appear in court, and a 59-year-old Corvallis man on warrants for failure to appear in court, during a traffic stop on Highway 20 near the intersection with Kings Valley Highway. The woman, who was driving the car, was transported to Benton County Jail. The man was issued criminal citations in lieu of custody.

SATURDAY, FEB. 21

• 11 a.m. — BCSO arrested a 34-year-old Dallas man on a misdemeanor charge of failure to register as a sex offender in the 24700 block of Main Street. The man also had four outstanding warrants for four jurisdictions. He was transported to Benton County Jail.
