MONDAY, SEPT. 1
• 9:06 a.m. — BCSO took possession of a cellphone that had been found by a citizen at the top of Marys Peak. The phone’s owner was identified and returned.
TUESDAY, SEPT. 2
• 5:09 a.m. — BCSO responded to the intersection of Ervin Road and Decker Road for a report of a crash involving a Ford F-150 that had gone into a ditch. The driver, a 23-year-old Philomath man, stated he had taken a corner too fast on the gravel roadway. No injuries were reported.
WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 3
• 2:31 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of an argument between a man and woman at a location on Marys Peak Road. An investigation led to the arrest of a 32-year-old Corvallis man on a charge of violating a court-ordered release agreement. The man was transported to Benton County Jail.
SATURDAY, SEPT. 6
• 4:28 p.m. — BCSO arrested a juvenile in a parking lot on the east end of the couplet in Philomath following an attempt to pull over the driver on Highway 20 near Blodgett. The teen, who was driving a Mercedes-Benz C240, was charged with reckless driving and attempting to elude while operating a vehicle.
MONDAY, SEPT. 8
• 2:40 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of two stray goats on Old Peak Road. Two miniature male goats wearing nylon collars were transported to Heartland Humane Society.
