FRIDAY, OCT. 15
• Medical, 8:33 a.m., 1500 block of Pioneer Street.
• Medical, 8:36 a.m., 36000 block of Blakesley Creek Road.
• Flue fire, 10:23 p.m., 24000 block of Gellatly Way, fire confined to the chimney; crews extinguished with a portage fire extinguisher with no water needed and helped clear smoke from the building. Philomath Fire & Rescue advises, “Given the change of season, chimneys should always be inspected and cleaned each year before burning for the season.” Philomath Fire & Rescue provides chimney brushes and rods for loan for those that have the experience to clean their own chimneys.
