MONDAY, JAN. 6
• 3:20 p.m. — BCSO took a report from a Grange Hall Road resident involving a mailbox that had been run over by a vehicle. The scene was photographed but an investigation produced no leads on who caused the damage.
MONDAY, JAN. 13
• 12:26 p.m. — BCSO responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 34 near Tobacco Road. The investigation indicated that a 27-year-old Alsea woman took a corner too fast and drove down an embankment. The woman sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center.
TUESDAY, JAN. 14
• 11:01 a.m. — BCSO transported two stray dogs from the 23800 block of Greasy Creek Road to Heartland Humane Society. The owner later contacted the shelter.
• 2:30 p.m. — BCSO contacted a 31-year-old Alsea man who failed to pay for a taxi ride from Corvallis to Alsea on Jan. 12. The man agreed to pay for the ride by Feb. 2.
SUNDAY, JAN. 19
• 5:08 p.m. — BCSO responded to a single-vehicle crash on Marys River Estates Road near Cascara Lane involving a Honda Civic that slid off the road when reaching an extremely icy section. The vehicle, which slid into some overgrowth, was later towed. No injuries were reported.
