MONDAY, OCT. 28
• 12:09 p.m. — BCSO transported a stray dog to Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis from where it had been found on Maxfield Creek Road and Ward Road near Monmouth. The dog was described as an “intact male dark brindle pit bull mix” and wearing two collars.
• 6:08 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of assault at a location on Fudge Road south of Alsea. The victim, a 69-year-old Alsea man, reported that at approximately 5 p.m. on the previous afternoon while he was confronting a man hunting near his property, he was pushed and punched in the face.
TUESDAY, OCT. 29
• 9:48 a.m. — BCSO transported two large stray dogs to Heartland Humane Society in Corvallis from where they had been found in the 23100 block of Old Peak Road. The dogs were white Great Pyrenees and wearing no collars. One of the dogs was micro chipped.
THURSDAY, OCT. 31
• 2:44 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 58-year-old Albany man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended during a traffic stop on Main Street in Philomath.
FRIDAY, NOV. 1
• 4:37 p.m. — BCSO came upon a dark-colored sports bike without a license plate traveling west on Southwest Reservoir Road near Southwest West Hills Road in Corvallis. The rider was reportedly wearing all-black racing gear with an orange helmet and a second white helmet was strapped to the passenger seat. The description matched that of a rider who had eluded OSP on Highway 34 near Peoria Road about one hour earlier. The deputy attempted to stop the motorcycle at 19th Street near Industrial Way when the rider looked back and accelerated at a high rate of speed into Philomath. The deputy estimated the rider was traveling 100 mph and chose to not pursue.
SUNDAY, NOV. 3
• 3:16 p.m. — BCSO arrested Justin Wayne Seibert, 36, of Albany, on a statewide felony parole board violation warrant when contacted in the 700 block of Main Street. He was transported to Benton County Jail without incident.
