SATURDAY, JULY 27

• 6:30 p.m. — BCSO observed a red and black motorcycle traveling at a high rate of speed west on Highway 20 about 3 miles west of Blodgett. The motorcycle eluded the deputy who was attempting to pull it over. The pursuit was discontinued due to speed, erratic riding and probable cause for the stop limited to a traffic violation. No information on the rider’s identity or a plate for the bike was obtained.

MONDAY, JULY 29

• 6:01 p.m. — BCSO responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 34 near the intersection with Highway 20 in Philomath. An investigation indicated that a vehicle sideswiped with its rear wheels a second vehicle that was attempting to turn into a driveway. A citation was issued for unlawful passing while in a no passing zone. The driver of the vehicle that was hit was transported to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center in Corvallis for a medical evaluation.

SATURDAY, AUG. 24

• 9:56 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report from a towing operator that received a call for service on a truck that had gone over the edge of Summit Highway and into the trees in a spot 2 to 3 miles north of Blodgett. The vehicle, a 2019 Nissan Frontier that was driven by a 30-year-old Eddyville man, was located, pulled up to the roadway and towed from the scene.

SUNDAY, AUG. 25

• 3:10 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 40-year-old Albany man at Marys River Park and Natural Area on a warrant out of Philomath Municipal Court for failure to appear on a criminal citation.

• 7:27 p.m. — BCSO took a report of a crash that occurred on Marys Peak Road near milepost 1. A 43-year-old Philomath man reported that he swerved to miss a deer and rolled his Toyota Tundra pickup while traveling west toward the top of Marys Peak. The man and his girlfriend were able to get a ride to town after it happened to get into cell phone coverage to report the accident. No injuries were reported.

MONDAY, AUG. 26

• 9:43 a.m. — BCSO responded to a report of an abandoned vehicle at Highway 20 and Garrett Lane. A white Kia Rio was tagged to be towed.

TUESDAY, AUG. 27

• 10:18 a.m. — BCSO responded to a reported theft involving a check for $1,829.51 mailed to a business in Woodland, Washington but had been stolen from there and cashed in Portland.

FRIDAY, AUG. 30

• 8:35 p.m. — BCSO arrested a 30-year-old Philomath woman on a charge of second-degree criminal trespass after she had been stopped on an e-scooter going in the wrong direction on Main Street near Clemens Mill Road. While in custody, she was cited for possession of methamphetamine (less than 2 grams).

WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 4

• 11:40 a.m. — BCSO responded to a domestic dispute at a Joseph Lane residence. The two individuals involved accused each other of harassment but neither wanted to pursue charges. One of the individuals agreed to leave the residence to allow both time to cool off.
