The Philomath City Council plans to meet at 6 p.m. Monday at City Hall to consider an annexation and rezoning application for property on North Ninth Street.
The meeting will include a public hearing to be followed by discussion and a decision.
The applicant, Gregory Phelps, wants the city to annex a 1.99-acre parcel and rezone the property from medium to high density residential. At the Planning Commission level last month, recommendations were issued for approval of the annexation but denial of the rezoning. The city has received a number of comments on the two applications with several included in the meeting agenda packet.
Also on the agenda is a decision to be made on awarding a contract for the installation of streetlights on North 13th Street between Main and College streets. The new decorative light poles would match those that have been installed as part of the downtown streetscapes project. The cost could run as high as $100,440 if new conduit is needed.
For those not attending the meeting in person, it will be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
