The Philomath Rotary Club invites the community to a program Tuesday that will provide information on ways to protect information and bank accounts from scams.
Shannon Romero, Oregon Consumer Education and Engagement coordinator, will present “Scam and Fraud Prevention” at noon July 16 at Peace Lutheran Church. A sandwich bar lunch will be provided (RSVP to Rotary’s Fred Shaub at 541-602-0279 or rotaryfred@hotmail.com for meal-planning purposes).
Romero will share information on staying safe from scam calls, emails and other methods by those attempting to steal personal information, including credit card and bank account numbers.
