FRIDAY, JUNE 28

• 6:24 p.m. — Firefighters conducted a smoke investigation in the 1500 block of Timothy Street.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 1:30 p.m. (Horse Farm Lane), 6:46 p.m. (Airport Avenue), 9:58 p.m. (Melvill Cres) and 10:35 p.m. (Rosecrest Drive).

SATURDAY, JUNE 29

• 2:07 p.m. — Emergency medical personnel were dispatched to a report of a crash at North 19th Street and Industrial Way. The call was canceled en route.

SUNDAY, JUNE 30

• 7:03 p.m. — Firefighters responded on a mutual aid call in the 100 block of Southwest 53rd Street in Corvallis.

Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 8:11 a.m. (Applegate Street), 12:30 p.m. (Horse Farm Lane) and 1:35 p.m. (North 19th Street).

MONDAY, JULY 1

• 6:41 p.m. — Emergency medical personnel responded to a crash via a mutual aid request out of Lincoln County on Highway 20 near Burnt Woods. Two people were killed and three people transported to a hospital with serious injuries. See separate story for details.

TUESDAY, JULY 2

• 11:53 a.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a small fire on the railroad tracks in the 23300 block of Harris Road. The fire was reportedly caused by sparks from a passing train. Firefighters assisted with extinguishing the fire and notified the railroad.

WEDNESDAY, JULY 3

• No calls of public significance reported.

THURSDAY, JULY 4

• 10:14 p.m. — Firefighters were dispatched to a house fire in the 600 block of Mayberry Avenue in Corvallis. Philomath’s unit was released without any engagement at the scene. Firefighters on the scene reportedly confined the blaze to the exterior of the house.
