Jumping, bouncing and sliding in a variety of inflatables, playing games with a chance to win prizes and a silent auction are all a part of the 15th annual PYAC Kids Community Carnival from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Friday at Philomath High School’s Clemens Field.
Admission is free but inflatables and games require a wristband, which can be purchased at the gate. Wristbands cost $20 for ages 7 and older and $15 for ages 6 and under. The event typically features about a dozen inflatables courtesy of S&K Inflatables, the parent company of Wacky Indoor Bounce, which is a longtime major partner with PYAC to put on the event.

The forecast looks promising for May 31 for In the case of poor weather, the event would be moved into the PHS gymnasiums.
A sampling of the games that will be available include Bolo Toss, Compound Bow Shoot, Bean Bag Toss, Sack Races, Cake Walk, Putt Putt Golf, Horseshoes, Disc Golf Throw, Balloon/Darts, Strike 3 Baseball, 1st and 10 Football, Jumbo Field Goal and others.
The silent auction will feature a variety of items from sports memorabilia and sporting goods to candles and retreats.
Food and treats will also be available for purchase, such as hamburgers, hot dogs, popcorn and snow cones.
Outside of PYAC’s Annual Fund Dinner, the carnival represents a major source of revenue for PYAC. The event dates back 17 years although it had to be canceled in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic.
High school and adult volunteers help PYAC and S&K Inflatables run the event and more are needed. Adult volunteers can call PYAC at 541-929-4040 to help man the inflatables.
