Marys River Grange volunteers are gearing up for their annual Amazing Grange Day fundraiser, scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 22 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and they’re calling on the community to help make it a success.
The Grange will accept the donation of rummage sale items on Sunday, Aug. 9 from noon-4 p.m. at Marys River Grange Hall. The organization is seeking a wide variety of items, including household goods, tools and equipment, clothing and furniture in good condition.
Organizers ask that donors not bring electronics, chemicals or large exercise equipment.
This year’s rummage sale date shifted from its original schedule to avoid conflicting with a nonprofit sale at the Philomath Scout Lodge. Proceeds from the sale support maintenance of the historic Grange Hall.
Community members who can’t make it to the hall on Aug. 9 can arrange alternative pickup or drop-off times by calling 541-829-2907 or emailing marysrivergrange@gmail.com. The same contact information is available for anyone with questions about acceptable donation items.
