Benton Area Transit is asking rural Benton County residents to weigh in on their transportation needs as part of a study aimed at improving mobility and access to essential services.
The study is funded through an Innovative Mobility Fund grant from the Oregon Department of Transportation. Benton Area Transit is using the grant to explore transit options, including potential shuttle service, for residents living outside Corvallis and Philomath’s urban areas.
Officials say resident input is central to the effort. Responses to the survey will help transit planners understand current needs and shape possible shuttle alternatives for rural parts of the county.
Those who complete the survey can opt into a drawing for one of five $20 gift cards, redeemable at Amazon or Visa. Participants must provide an email address at the end of the survey to be entered.
The online survey will remain open through Aug. 10.
