FRIDAY, JUNE 26
• 8:20 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 101 near Port Orford in Curry County that took the life of Luke Anree May Dizon, 18, of Covington, Washington. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Dizon was driving a northbound Chrysler Pacifica when he fell asleep at the wheel, drifted into the oncoming lane and collided head-on with a small school bus that had been converted into a motorhome driven by a 73-year-old Fort Bragg, California, man. Dizon was declared deceased at the scene. A Chrysler passenger, an 18-year-old Auburn, Washington, woman, was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. Two other adult passengers in the Chrysler were transported to an area hospital with minor injuries. Another adult passenger in the Chrysler and the motorhome’s driver were not injured.
TUESDAY, JUNE 30
• 4:18 p.m. — Troopers responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 140 in Klamath County that took the life of Wesley Carl Lawson, 74, of Bonanza. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Lawson was riding a Honda eastbound near Kingfisher Drive north of Klamath Falls Lakeview Forest State Park when the motorcycle left the roadway for an unknown reason and crashed on the eastbound shoulder. Lawson was declared deceased at the scene.
THURSDAY, JULY 2
• 10:10 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 18 southwest of Otis that took the life of Bryan James Anderson, 35, of Grand Ronde. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Anderson was driving an eastbound Nissan pickup and for unknown reasons entered the westbound lane where it collided head-on with a westbound Ford Maverick pickup driven by a 63-year-old Salem woman. Anderson was pronounced deceased at the scene. OSP reported that Anderson was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Ford’s driver was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.
• 11:40 a.m. — Troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash on Highway 58 near Dexter in Lane County that took the life of Sarah Rachel Pratt, 55, of Lowell. OSP’s preliminary investigation indicated that Pratt, who was driving a Toyota Camry, was turning onto Highway 58 from a gravel driveway. An eastbound Ford F-250 driven by a 51-year-old Springfield man struck the Toyota on the driver’s side door as the vehicle entered the eastbound lane. Pratt was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Ford’s driver was not injured. An adult passenger in the Ford was transported to an area hospital with minor injuries.
