The Philomath Inclusivity Committee will meet Tuesday to review a draft proclamation marking Holocaust Remembrance Day and to discuss the group’s planning calendar for the coming months.
The meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. at Philomath City Hall (980 Applegate St.). The public is invited to attend and the meeting will be livestreamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
The committee’s primary agenda item is a draft resolution proclaiming April 14, 2026, as National Holocaust Remembrance Day. Committee members Alba Sederlin and Jane Sherwood prepared the draft, which the full committee is expected to review. The finalized proclamation would then be forwarded to the Philomath City Council for consideration at its April 13 meeting.
The draft resolution calls on Philomath citizens to reflect on the importance of human rights as essential to peace, democracy and liberty.
The committee will also review its inclusivity calendar and discuss goals and priorities for upcoming meetings.
