The city of Philomath is accepting sponsorships and volunteer sign-ups for its 2026 Downtown Flower Basket Program, with hanging baskets expected to be installed by the end of May.
Each basket is available for a $100 sponsorship contribution. When hung, the baskets will line both sides of Main Street from 14th to Seventh streets, with additional displays along 14th Street between Applegate and College streets, and featured arrangements along Applegate Street.
Installation will be handled by Philomath Public Works staff.
The city is also seeking community volunteers to assist with watering the baskets during the season. Those interested in sponsoring a basket or volunteering can contact the Public Works Department at 541-929-3579 or pw@philomathoregon.gov.
Financial contributions to the city may be tax deductible. Anonymous donations are also accepted.
A sign-up form can be found on the city’s flower basket webpage (scroll down to see the form). There is also the option of sending in a check via postal mail or stopping by Philomath City Hall.
