FRIDAY, FEB. 20
• 7:29 p.m. — Firefighters responded to the activation of a fire alarm in the 500 block of North Eighth Street.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 6:23 a.m. (Marilyn Drive) and 1:20 p.m. (Southeast Summerfield Place, Corvallis).
SATURDAY, FEB. 21
• 10:57 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash in the 1900 block of Chapel Drive. Upon arrival, the crew of five personnel in an engine and command vehicle found a vehicle on its roof in a ditch. All occupants were able to get out of the vehicle and all declined medical assessments.

MONDAY, FEB. 23
• 3:40 p.m. — Emergency medical services responded to a one-vehicle rollover crash in the 500 block of North 19th Street. Upon arrival, the crew assisted one individual out of the vehicle and then removed the front windshield so the other individual could escape. A Benton County Sheriff’s Office incident report identified the vehicle as a 2023 Subaru Outback driven by a 52-year-old Alsea woman and the passenger as a 63-year-old Alsea woman. Both were transported via ambulance to Good Samaritan Regional Medical Center with minor injuries. Fire and Rescue’s response included an engine and two command vehicles with seven personnel.

TUESDAY, FEB. 24
• 5:43 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of a structure fire at a residence in the 31000 block of McCreedy Lane, southwest of Philomath on the east side of Alsea Highway about six miles from the station. Upon arrival, the crew found a detached shop with an office on fire. Fire and Rescue deployed an engine, ladder truck and three command vehicles with nine personnel. A Corvallis Fire Department engine was dispatched but canceled prior to arrival, with that crew instead providing coverage at Philomath’s Main Street station while volunteers responded — nine in total staffed the station during the incident. The building was heavily damaged, although fire crews were able to protect and assist the owner with saving materials in the office space. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
