The Philomath Fire & Rescue Board of Directors will hold its regular session meeting at 3 p.m. Monday at Station 201.

According to the meeting agenda, the board plans to appoint one of its members to begin a job and contract review of Fire Chief Chancy Ferguson. The board also plans to set a budget calendar and appoint a board member to serve as the fire district’s liaison to the Philomath Community Vision 2050 initiative.

In addition, the board will hear an update on the fire district’s plans to put an operating levy on the ballot this year. The issue has been discussed for several months and in December, Ferguson told the board that those involved would meet to formulate a plan to bring to the board’s January meeting.

The meeting will begin with an audit presentation by Accuity’s Kori Sarrett. A vote to approve the audit will follow.

Time is also provided for reports from the fire chief, operations chief, office administrator, volunteer association, firefighter union and city liaison.

The board will also consider routine consent agenda items and offer a public comment period.

The fire station is located at 1035 Main St. The meeting can also be accessed through Zoom (see the agenda for instructions).
