SATURDAY, DEC. 20
• 12:42 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a request to investigate the source of smoke on Botkin Road. The crew arrived and observed smoke in the area from wood fireplaces.
Other calls: Emergency medical services responded to calls at 1:15 p.m. (Memory Lane), 4:41 p.m. (Homestead Road) and 11:43 p.m. (Old Peak Road).
SUNDAY, DEC. 21

MONDAY, DEC. 22
• 8:43 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a crash reportedly with injuries in the 23000 block of Labare Road northwest of the Wren area. The crew arrived to find a small sport utility vehicle that had hit a downed tree in the road. An individual was medically evaluated and the scene was turned over to the Benton County Sheriff’s Office. Good samaritans stepped in with equipment to clean up the road.

TUESDAY, DEC. 23
• 12:38 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a crash at Main Street and South 26th Street. No injuries were reported. According to Philomath Police, both vehicles involved were heavily damaged and towed from the scene.
WEDNESDAY, DEC. 24
• 5:48 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of an unattended fire in the 300 block of North 11th Street. Upon arrival, a backyard warming fire was seen attended by multiple residents. The fire was confined to a large gravel pit with water present. The residents were advised to extinguish the fire before retiring for the evening.

THURSDAY, DEC. 25
• 12:40 p.m. — Firefighters responded to a report of smoke in the 23000 block of Greasy Creek Road northeast of Pioneer Village. Upon arrival, the crew found smoldering material in the middle of a burned area with wet soil and no immediate sources of fuel.
