The Philomath Finance and Administration Committee plans to meet at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Philomath City Hall for an agenda that includes a review and update of the city’s Urban Renewal Agency.
The city’s latest project related to urban renewal involves cleanup of a property at the corner Main and South 14th streets. Earlier this month, the City Council approved a contract to remove underground storage tanks and a hydraulic lift station on the property, which for decades was the site of a service garage. As such, the city will now need to discuss possible future uses of the lots.
Also on the agenda, the committee plans to consider specifics of a financial policy addressing the city’s fund balance, contingencies and reserves.
The Nov. 18 meeting will be live-streamed on the city’s YouTube channel.
