The status of incidents might change after further investigation. Locations are approximate and may not be included if it could identify victims of certain crimes of a sensitive nature (sexual abuse, stalking, etc.). Individuals are identified in the log only if arrested on felony charges. Calls that involve the Department of Human Services and minor children are not included. Juveniles are not identified. People arrested or suspected of crimes are considered innocent until proven otherwise.
FRIDAY, JUNE 13
• 1:53 a.m. — Police responded to a report of a person screaming for help in or near the rodeo grounds off South 13th Street. The officer was unable to locate anyone or hear any screaming.
• 2:28 p.m. — Police arrested a 44-year-old Corvallis man in the 100 block of North 18th Street on a warrant for failure to appear in court. The man was cited and released.
• 3:03 p.m. — Police arrested a 54-year-old Philomath woman in the 1100 block of Main Street on a contempt-of-court charge.
Other calls: Police responses included a harassment situation at 8:39 a.m., extra patrol at 8:39 a.m. (Applegate Street), found dog at 9:52 a.m. (Southwest Twin Oaks Circle, Corvallis), juvenile complaint at 11:34 a.m. (Philomath Middle School), juvenile complaint at 1:49 p.m. (Dollar General Store), welfare check at 1:56 p.m. (Applegate Street), city ordinance violation at 2:46 p.m. (Main Street), mental health situation at 3:06 p.m. (College Street and North 14th Street), suicidal subject at 5:29 p.m., and a dog at large at 7:35 p.m. (College Street and North 14th Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 2:24 a.m. (Southwest Country Club Drive, Corvallis). PPD reported 14 traffic stops.
SATURDAY, JUNE 14
• 11:46 p.m. — Police arrested a 30-year-old Blodgett man during a traffic stop on Kings Valley Highway and Cardwell Hill Drive on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended. The man was issued a citation in lieu of custody.
Other calls: Police responses included a non-911 issue at 1:38 p.m. (Newton Street), motorist assistance at 2:38 p.m. (Main Street) and a fireworks complaint at 11:21 p.m. (South 19th Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 4:58 p.m. (Highway 20 and Kings Valley Highway) and 8:08 p.m. (Fern Road and Powderhouse Road). PPD reported 16 traffic stops.
SUNDAY, JUNE 15
• 10:54 a.m. — Police responded to the 300 block of North Ninth Street involving wood pallets that had been discarded. The following day, police arrested a 43-year-old Philomath man on a misdemeanor charge of offensive littering.
• 1:53 p.m. — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in the 2100 block of Main Street. No injuries were reported and both vehicles drove away from the scene.
• 1:58 p.m. — Police responded to the 800 block of Pioneer Street for a report of pride flags that had been stolen.
Other calls: Police responses included verbal threats at 8:32 a.m. (Main Street), civil dispute at 8:14 p.m. (South 17th Street), dog barking at 9:06 p.m. (Applegate Street) and bike traffic at 11:17 p.m. (Pioneer Street and North 16th Street). In addition, police assisted other agencies on calls at 5:20 a.m. (Southwest West Hills Road and Southwest 53rd Street, Corvallis) and 11:08 p.m. (Main Street). PPD reported two traffic stops.
MONDAY, JUNE 16
• 9:35 a.m. — Police took a report of fraud involving a local resident who said a credit card was opened in his name and sent to an address in Medford. The card was canceled by the bank and a police report was requested for documentation.
• 9:02 p.m. — Police arrested a 34-year-old Philomath man on a misdemeanor charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants (alcohol with 0.15% blood alcohol content) during a traffic stop at North 11th Street and Pippa Lane. The man was issued a citation in lieu of custody and given a courtesy ride to his residence.
Other calls: Police responses included an abandoned vehicle at 12:27 a.m. (James Street and South 30th Street), suspicious circumstances at 8:23 a.m. (North 14th Street), suspicious circumstances at 2:47 p.m. (College Street), city ordinance violation at 4:05 p.m. (Newton Street), dog barking at 5:33 p.m. (Pioneer Street) and a welfare check at 6:21 p.m. (address not reported). PPD reported one traffic stop.
TUESDAY, JUNE 17
• 8:37 a.m. — Police arrested Cole E. Chambers, 29, of Philomath, during a traffic stop in the 1700 block of College Street on a warrant that showed felony charges of driving under the influence of intoxicants and misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and driving while suspended (two counts each). Police reported that the DUII reached felony status because it was the third arrest for that offense in a 10-year timeframe.
Other calls: Police responses included a mental health situation at 11:09 a.m. (North 15th Street), disturbance at 3:52 p.m. (Philomath Police parking lot), city ordinance violation at 4:51 p.m. (Canberra Drive), city ordinance violation at 5:43 p.m. (South 15th Street) and a noise disturbance at 9:36 p.m. (Willow Lane). PPD reported three traffic stops.
WEDNESDAY, JUNE 18
• No calls of significance were reported.
Other calls: Police responses included citizen contact at 12:45 p.m. (Main Street), non-911 issue at 1:31 p.m. (Houser Lane), verbal argument at 6:18 p.m. (Canberra Drive), non-911 issue at 9:49 p.m. (North 19th Street) and a verbal argument at 10:06 p.m. (North 19th Street). PPD reported seven traffic stops.
THURSDAY, JUNE 19
• 9:21 a.m. — Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Kings Valley Highway in northern Benton County (near milepost 22). No injuries were reported and the vehicle was not blocking the highway.
Other calls: Police responses included a dog at large at 8:40 a.m. (South 26th Street and Applegate Street), deceased cat in a ditch at 10:49 a.m. (North 12th Street and Grant Street), civil dispute at 11:54 a.m. (North 14th Street), suicidal subject at 2:55 p.m. and trespassing at 10:54 p.m. (Main Street). In addition, police assisted another agency on a call at 12:54 a.m. (Southwest Country Club Drive, Corvallis). PPD reported no traffic stops.
