THURSDAY, JUNE 5

• 6:13 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of illegal camping on Highway 34 about 1-1/2 miles southwest of Decker Road. The responding deputy found a 59-year-old Warrenton man sleeping in the back seat of a Toyota Camry. The man stated that his vehicle had broken down but he was planning to get it towed into town by a friend.

FRIDAY, JUNE 6

• 12:01 a.m. — BCSO arrested a 38-year-old Sweet Home man on a misdemeanor charge of driving while suspended at Highway 20 and Shrike Way. The man was issued a citation in lieu of custody. A passenger in the vehicle, a Sweet Home man, was cited and released on a contempt-of-court warrant out of Albany Municipal Court.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 11

• Time NA — BCSO responded to a report of possible trespassing at a residence along Highway 20 in Blodgett involving a moped that was parked in a resident’s driveway. The moped’s owner, a 46-year-old Newport man, said a friend would be arriving to transport it out of the area.

• 2:31 p.m. — BCSO responded to a report of possible identity theft involving a 43-year-old Philomath woman who had received a phone call from a California dealership about an online application for an auto loan. The deputy advised that the woman put a freeze on her credit and inspect her credit report for any suspicious activity.
