The Mount Union Cemetery Association invites the community to participate in the placing of American flags at the grave sites of veterans beginning at 9 a.m. Saturday.
More than 200 veterans are buried at the cemetery, which is located at 2987 Mount Union Ave. The volunteers are placing the flags ahead of Memorial Day, which falls on May 26.
The American Legion Post 11 in Corvallis donated 100 new flags to the cemetery.
