DESCRIPTION:Join Benton County CERT each month in 2026 for a free\, hands-on session focused on local emergencies and disasters. Attendees will discuss real-world scenarios\, share practical preparedness tips\, and practice essential CERT skills to help stay ready\, informed\, and connected. \nOctober’s focus is earthquakes. Learn about the Cascadia earthquake risk\, practice Drop\, Cover\, and Hold On\, discuss what to expect after the shaking stops\, and identify simple ways to make your space more earthquake-ready. The session runs 5:30-7:30 p.m. Oct. 13 at the Benton County Sunset Building. \nOpen to all ages — no prior experience or CERT training required. Whether you want to be more prepared at home\, at work\, or in your community\, these monthly meetings are for you. \nThis session is brought to you by the Benton County CERT Training & Education Coordinator. All community members are welcome.
