DESCRIPTION:This Year’s Theme: Frolic in the USA!\n“Frolic in the USA” celebrates 250 years of American Freedom and western heritage with a rodeo-inspired salute to the red\, white\, and blue. We invite everyone to come together for a patriotic parade filled with cowboy spirit\, community pride\, and the celebration of 250 years of America. \nALL REGISTRATION IS ONLINE\nEither register online ahead of time or register online at the registration table the morning of the parade. Either way\, all entries are required to register online and sign the participant liability waiver(s).\n​\nEntry Requirements:\nEntry Fee: $20 (1st vehicle); $10 each additional vehicle. You may register the morning of the parade\, but you may be placed at the end of the parade line-up. Early registration is strongly encouraged to ensure a good placement. \nParade check-ins and same-day registration begin at 7:00 AM at the entry to Philomath Middle School entrance off Chapel Drive. \nHORSE REGISTRATION:\nPre-registration is strongly encouraged. Judging begins at 9:30 AM for horse entries. Horse entries will be judged in the east parking lot of the middle school\, and then proceed to their place in the parade at 9:45 a.m. Please keep off the grass. Adult must accompany all persons under the age of 9 at all times. All tack must be clean\, in good repair and fit properly. Horses must be kept under control at all times\, or you will be asked to leave the parade. Proof of Insurance must be submitted with Entry and Liability Release Form to the Parade Chair before Saturday morning. Insurance must include bodily injury and property liability with combined single limit of $1\,000\,000 (one million) dollars. \nParade Line up:\nEnter into Philomath Middle School from Chapel Drive. Check in at the Registration Table. Proceed to designated line up position. Staging will be from the Middle School through the bus lane to Applegate (through the High School parking lot). \nParade Route:\nThe Parade will leave the Philomath High School and heads west on Applegate to 15th. Left at 15th and a right on Cedar Street\, then across 13th Street and into the Rodeo Grounds to disband\, or north toward the highway or south toward Chapel Drive. Please do not disband or drop off riders until you have entered the rodeo grounds parking area or returned to the school parking lot. Do not stop on Cedar Street or anywhere else along the route. \nSafety Rule:\nNo entry can act in a way that encourages Parade spectators to come onto the street during the Parade. Most importantly NO THROWING of anything from any parade entry on the Parade route. If you wish to give anything to the spectators\, you must have people walk along the edge of the road and hand it out to people on the sidewalk. \nJudging:\nJudging for the Grand Parade begins at 9 AM (except horse entries). Please be in place and ready by then. Horse entries are judged 9:30 AM\, before they enter the line up at 9:45. \nFour trophies will be awarded this year: \n\nQueen’s Award\nMayor’s Award\nGrand Marshal’s Award\nBest Use of Theme Award\n\nRosette Ribbon Awards: \n\nAntique\nCommercial\nEquestrian\nCourt\nMarching\nLarge Equipment\nTimber\nWalkers\nKids Parade\n\nReserved Right to Not Allow Entries\nThe Frolic Grand Parade has always been a source of exciting\, family-friendly entertainment\, and we intent to keep it that way. Any float or entry deemed by the Frolic & Rodeo to not be family-friendly\, good natured\, community building\, or to provide a general positive reflection of the community’s values\, as defined by the Frolic & Rodeo\, will not be allowed to participate in the parade. \nParking:\nParking is available at Clemens Primary School off of 19th Street\, you will not be able to drive to the Middle or High School from there. The Parade line up route is one way from 7am on (enter from Chapel Drive) and is closed to non-entered vehicles after 9 AM. \n$20 (1st vehicle) $10 each additional vehicle

SUMMARY:Frolic 5K Family Run
DESCRIPTION:Race begins at 9:45am at the start of the parade and follows the parade route down Applegate Street to the rodeo grounds\, with parade cheering runners/walkers on as they go whizzing by. \nRegistration is now open for teams\, individuals and organizations. All registrations and payments must be completed online following the button above. Same-day online registration will be permitted up to the start of the race using the button above. \n​Check in will begin at 9:00 am at the starting line\, located in the High School front parking lot by the painted rock. \nThe race will end at Mary’s River Park\, next to the rodeo grounds. \nThe Grand Parade begins at 9:45 a.m. at the high school and comes down Applegate Street to the Rodeo grounds. The 1K participants will finish at the entrance to Mary’s River Park. 5K participants will take a couple loops around the park and finish back at the park entrance as well. Parade watchers will be in place along both sides of the street and will help cheer on 5K/1K participants. \nFrolic swag certificates will be given to male and female winner of both the 5K and the 1K races. \n$10 for Adults and Teens\, Kids 12 ad under run free\, $50 Team Registration for Businesses and Organizations.

DESCRIPTION:Each year the Philomath Library hosts the Frolic Chalk Round-up in front of the library building. Upon arriving\, artists of all ages\, abilities\, and imaginations register and given a 5 ft. x 5 ft. section of sidewalk to color. All chalk is provided\, but participants may use their own as well. DESCRIPTION:The Frolic Home Run Derby is scheduled for 6:00pm on Wednesday July 8th.\nCheck in will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Philomath High School Softball Field. \nThere are three brackets\, men’s\, women’s\, and teens\, for the home run competition.\nThere is also a youth farthest hit competition for children 12 and under.\n​$10 registration fee per batter.\nWinners get a $25 gift certificate to the Frolic souvenir hut and one (1) year of bragging rights. Home Run Derby Rules\nEach batter will have 10 swings.\nBatters do not have to swing at every pitch.\nA missed swing\, foul ball\, or tip is counted as a swing.\nA home run has to go over the fence.\nThe top 50% of players in each bracket will advance to the following rounds.\nTies will lead to a sudden death round. Each batter will receive 4 swings.\nBats and balls will be provided.\nPlayers may use their own bats at the approval of the judges.\nBatters may select their own pitchers; however\, once a pitcher is selected\, you may not switch pitchers.\nAwards will be given to the first place finishers of the men’s\, women’s\, young men’s and young women’s brackets. Youth Farthest Hit Rules\nEach batter will have 10 pitches.\nBatters should try to swing at every pitch.\nThe farthest ball hit by the player will be marked and recorded.\nOnce every player has hit\, the player with the farthest recorded hit will be the winner \nAll proceeds will go to the PHS girls softball team
