SUMMARY:StrongPeople Strength-Training Class
DESCRIPTION:StrongPeople is a free strength-training program for adults offered through the Oregon State University Extension Service. Classes are designed for people with a range of abilities and fitness backgrounds\, with participants learning and practicing exercises in a supportive group setting. Open to adults 18 and older. No advance registration is required\, but organizers ask that those interested let them know ahead of time; paperwork will be completed at the first class. Classes do not meet on major holidays\, and an occasional Friday may be canceled for an American Red Cross blood drive. SUMMARY:Omelet Dinner at College United Methodist Church
DESCRIPTION:Held the first Friday of each month (excluding July and August)\, the dinner began in 1987 as a means of funding parsonage property taxes. Dinners are open to the public. The meal consists of an omelet (made while you watch) with your choice of fillings (ham\, green onion\, green peppers\, mushrooms\, cheddar and/or Jack cheese)\, homemade scones\, fresh fruit and a beverage. If you are real hungry\, sausage gravy and scones are available for purchase. Homemade desserts can be enjoyed for a donation. \nIn April\, omelets are replaced with our annual Spaghetti Dinner. The meal includes spaghetti\, bread\, salad and a beverage. Delicious\, homemade desserts will be available for a donation. (Same time\, same place — Social Hall from 5-7 PM)
