Died This Morning
Mrs. Eva Barbara Becker, wife of J.G. Becker, of Philomath, died at four o’clock this morning at the family home at that place. She had been feeble for several years and her death came as a result of general debility and Brights disease. Mrs. Becker was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Fehler, of Illinois, and came to Oregon from that state in 1887, having since resided in Corvallis and at Philomath. She was born May 11, 1843, and at the time of her demise was aged 74 years. She is survived by her husband and eight children, four daughters and four sons. They are Mrs. J.H. Merryman, of Corvallis, Mrs. Frank Wyatt, Mrs. Eldridge Hartless, Mrs. J.R. Fehler, all of Philomath; M.E. Dittmar, of Redding, Calif.; C.F. Dittmar, Woodland, Cal.; Arthur Dittman (Dittmar), Birmingham, Alabama, and Frank R. Becker, of Olympia, Wash. The funeral will be held from the Radical United Brethren church at Philomath at :30 Thursday afternoon and burial will be in Newton cemetery. H.W. Conger is in charge of the funeral.
